Producer LND Talks About Linking Up With Perennial Skills And More.

LND a producer from Rhode Island that happened to link up with Sunny Rothmiller from Perennial Skills and was able to produce three songs on the Perennial Skills album. In this interview LND talks about what got him into hip hop. Who his influences were and how he was able to produce on the Perennial Skills album.

What got you started into making hip hop beats?

LND: It all started with the writing aspect really. I would hear a beat and I couldn’t help to start writing to it.
My buddy Mike Kurimsky gave me reason 3 back in the day and the beats started there and I just never stopped, shit became addicting. I wanted to know how to do it all  instead of just writing. I wanted to be able to produce the track and spit over it.

What intrigued you about hip hop to make you want to be apart of it?

LND:What intrigued me about Hip Hop really was the freedom of it and music in-general. Almost everything in life,  there’s certain ways you should go about it and guidelines to follow. With music it is all in the eye of the creator. There is no wrong or right way to go about it just only my way. That is what really got me hooked the freedom of it.

What type of feeling does music give you?

LND: I feel free, I feel alive, like times sitting still for that particular moment.  I’m in the lab 4 hrs seems like 15minutes. Music is my freedom from this world we’re living in.

How did you link up with Perennial Skills?

LND: I found Perennial Skills through soundcloud. I heard the music and I was honestly feeling it. From the rhymes to the production. I wanted to be apart of it and help the cause of making some real Hip Hop. And I have been working with Sunny and Doleak ever since.
Who is your favorite producer of all time and why?

LND: Favorite producer of all time.. That is a tough one and to be honest i cant single out one producer. My top three that is easy for me. At one repping the D is J-Dilla, at 2 is that soul brotha Pete Rock, and at 3 is my dude Dj Premier. In no particular order but definitely those three dudes.
Where do you see yourself in producing in five years?

LND: .I see myself in LA or NY still doing my thing hopefully with a bigger name for myself by then and bigger artists. But for now one beat at a time while trying to improve my game.

What do you think of the Perennial Skills album?

LND: Found In Between The Lines. what can i say more than u need to go out and download this album asap. With crazy production from Dj Doleak and myself followed up with some poetic madness from Sunny Rothmiller shit is on another level. So go get you some Perennial Skills.

Where can we find more of your beats?

LND:You can find the majority of my production on SoundCloud.com/LNDthatKIDdope im also on reverbnation as well there is a link on the soundcloud page if interested. You can also find me on Twitter @LNDthegreat so if ur not following along you can.

Any shout outs you want to give?
