Kendrick Lamar good kid, m.A.A.d city(Album Review) By DJ Doleak

I really think this album has to be one of the best album for this year. The concepts and the way he has this album sequenced is like watching a movie. Everything on this Kendrick Lamar album is just perfect. Even the skits on this album has there place on the album. Listening to this album makes you feel like you know more about Kendrick Lamar. He starts out with a song called “Sherane aka Master Splinter’s Daughter where he talks getting with a female and starts getting feelings for her and stealing his moms car and going over the girl’s house and wanting to sex her down. But then at the end of the song Kendrick Lamar leaves us in a cliffhanger on this song. Something I have never heard done so well. “Backseat Freestyle” is a dope song with a dope beat by Hit Boy. Kendrick is talking slick on this song with a dope flow.

His “Art of Peer Pressure” talks about Kendrick being a victim of peer pressure and doing things he is not suppose to do. Also on the last song on the album called “Compton” featuring Dr. Dre has them representing  their city like they are supposed to. This song goes in produced by Just Blaze. All in all go get this album. This album will be better than any other album you pick up in the hip hop section. (No songs produced by Dr. Dre but he did do a lot mixing on the album).
