Phone companies selling customer information

How do you feel about this one .. I mean we all know there is some monitoring going on but now its BIG business not just location but the habits daily all you do ….

Big phone companies have begun to sell the vast troves of data they gather about their subscribers’ locations, travels and Web-browsing habits.

The information provides a powerful tool for marketers but raises new privacy concerns. Even as Americans browsing the Internet grow more accustomed to having every move tracked, combining that information with a detailed accounting of their movements in the real world has long been considered particularly sensitive.

The new offerings are also evidence of a shift in the relationship between carriers and their subscribers. Instead of merely offering customers a trusted conduit for communication, carriers are coming to see subscribers as sources of data that can be mined for profit, a practice more common among providers of free online services like Google and Facebook.

When a Verizon Wireless customer navigates to a website on her smartphone today, information about that website, her location and her demographic background may end up as a data point in a product called Precision Market Insights. The product, which Verizon launched in October 2012 after trial runs, offers businesses like malls, stadiums and billboard owners statistics about the activities and backgrounds of cellphone users in particular locations.

Several European mobile-network operators have launched similar efforts. This week, German software giant SAP is introducing a service that will gather smartphone-use and location data from wireless carriers and offer it to marketing firms.

Carriers acknowledge the sensitivity of the data. But as advertisers and marketers seek more detailed information about potential customers and the telecom industry seeks new streams of revenue amid a maturing cellphone market, big phone companies have started to tiptoe in.

Hot 97 Morning show program director Ebro reported that he emailed Jay-Z to congratulate him and Jay-Z reply saying the news is false.

This is pretty crazy when your news sources cant get it right … but hold up first who the hell says a women is pregnant without the statement comeing from her MOUTH ?

If they had settled this like most former child stars, Sergio Garcia and Tiger Woods would have staged a boxing match for charity and hugged it out after three rounds.

What they’ve done instead has been far more cringe-worthy, with Garcia punching himself out with a careless and unfunny “fried chicken” comment and then holding a hastily arranged press conference to apologize Wednesday.

“I want to send an unreserved apology. I did not want to offend anyone,” an extremely contrite Garcia said from the BMW PGA Championship in Virginia Water, England. “My answer was totally stupid and out of place.”

The 33-year-old from Spain, an eight-time PGA Tour winner who is ranked 14th in the world, was at a European Tour awards dinner Tuesday night when he was asked if he would have Woods over for dinner during the U.S. Open. “We’ll have him ’round every night,” Garcia said. “We will serve fried chicken.”

“The comment that was made wasn’t silly,” Woods asserted in a series of tweets. “It was wrong, hurtful and clearly inappropriate. I’m confident that there is real regret the remark was made.

Albums: J. Cole Says He Changed The “Born Sinner” Release Date To Compete With Kanye West

You know what hats off to you J . Cole  , I hate to hear a artist I like has changed his release date bc someone who is bigger is dropping , this is competition and anyone saying its not is not winning .

Many questioned the move and Cole broke down exactly why he chose to change the release date for his album during an interview with Billboard.com. According to the Dreamville representer, he’d rather compete directly against Kanye’s Yeezus album rather than drop his project a week after the release of Yeezus.

“I’m not going to sit [here]… I worked too hard to come a week later after Kanye West drops an amazing album. It’d be like, ‘Oh and J.Cole dropped too, a week later.’ Nah. I’m going to go see him on that date. He’s the greatest. So it’s like, I’m a competitor by nature so it was instant, it wasn’t even a thought,” the rapper explained.

During the interview, Cole seemed to credit his decision to move up the release of his album on the confidence he has in Born Sinner and strayed away from bringing up any comparisons to the highly competitive 2007 showdown between Kanye and 50 Cent.

“It’s a definite statement about how I feel about my album, which is confident…At the same time, let’s not forget this is Kanye West,” said Cole. “He bets 100, 1,000, whatever the perfect is. His track record is flawless. I’m only expecting an incredible album from him.”

Prior to this week’s announcement, Born Sinner was initially set for a June 25 release.

If you have followed Brad Pitts acting career its def catapulted this last decade … this is a man who  turned down a role as an astronaut in Apollo 13 (1995) to accept his role in Se7en (1995). …Did TV commercial for Toyota (Altis model) that aired only in Asia.  Not your ordinary guy .

When you’re part of a Hollywood power couple like Brad Pitt and Anjelina Jolie it’s hard to know who you can trust, which is probably why Brangelina keeps their circle tight.

“I have very few friends,” Pitt reveals in a new Esquire  magazine interview.

Interestingly enough, Jolie made a similar statement back in 2010 during an interview from Pakistan with CNN about how she copes with being away from her family when she’s busy fulfilling her duties as the UN’s Goodwill Ambassador.

“I’ll talk to my family,” said the actress, who shares six children with Pitt. “I talk to Brad [Pitt]; he wants to know as much as he can about these issues and every trip. He’s been here as well; he came with me after the earthquake. But I don’t know, I don’t have a lot of friends I talk to. He is really the only person I talk to.”

While that might seem a little sad, Pitt loves the setup.

“I have a handful of close friends and I have my family and I haven’t known life to be any happier. I’m making things. I just haven’t known life to be any happier.”

Of course, having a big brood makes it hard to become lonely.

Pitt, 49, also reflects on his life before Jolie, the woman who has clearly been a strong influence.

“I’d get so far,” he says, “and then want to do something else. I mean, I’m two credits short of graduating college. Two credits. All I had to do was write a paper. What kind of guy is that? That guy scares me – the guy who always leaves a little on his plate.”

Pitt was married to Jennifer Aniston for four and half years before divorcing in 2005 after falling in love with Jolie on the set of “Mr. and Mrs. Smith.”

“For a long time I thought I did too much damage – drug damage. I was a bit of a drifter. A guy who felt he grew up in something of a vacuum and wanted to see things, wanted to be inspired. I followed that other thing,” Pitt reflects. “I spent years f–king off. But then I got burnt out and felt that I was wasting my opportunity. It was a conscious change. This was about a decade ago. It was an epiphany – a decision not to squander my opportunities. It was a feeling of get up. Because otherwise, what’s the point?”

Crazy when you get to this level how your life changes its good to see though he seems happy , I don’t hear to much negativity about him and he is not wiling out in the media . Looking forward to World War Z though hope its good .

New Yorkers Diss Rihanna, She Fires Shots At J.R. Smith & New York Knicks

Rihanna says I have had enough after people fans of the Knicks attack her on her social media and fires back . 

So basically since JR Smith and her had a thing a while back , and he was seen at her after party for her club tour New Yorkers fans of the knicks began attacking her as if she is the reason for his bad performance … are you serious ….people JR Smith is a grown ass man …slap your self . 

Since then some of New York’s faithful fans have been attacking her on Instagram for “messing up J.R.’s game,” and recently she had enough and shot back.  According to an Instagram comment she directed at one of the Knicks fans who had been insulting her, Rihanna is most definitely not romantically involved with Smith, but is not a fan of the Knicks:

Kelly Rowland’s solo career has never been able to escape that of Beyoncé.

Since her 2002 solo debut, Rowland has stood in the shadow of her Destiny’s Child sister. It’s almost impossible to find an interview with the singer without a mention of her more successful pal.

For her part, Rowland has always taken the constant comparisons and never-ending questions about a Destiny Child’s reunion or Bey’s success like any best friend would — with a smile and a soundbite. Now, she’s finally opening up about how it’s affected her in a stunningly candid new single, “Dirty Laundry,” taken from her upcoming fourth album, “Talk a Good Game.

Cleveland Man Gets Charles Ramsey’s Face Inked On His Leg

“He’s kind of like that public figure in Cleveland right now, kind of the voice and face of it,” Rose said. “He’s such an expressive guy, I figured it’d make a great tattoo.”

“I think Rodney and I were caught up in the ridiculousness of it,” Munhollon said. “You could ask the question, ‘did I want to get Charles Ramsey tattooed on my leg,’ and the obvious answer is no. The real question is, ‘was I willing to get Charles Ramsey tattooed on my leg,’ and the answer was yes.”

When recounting how he realized the girls were in trouble, Ramsey told a reporter “I knew something was wrong when a little, pretty white girl ran into a black man’s arms. Something is wrong here. Dead giveaway.”

His hilarious interview quickly turned into a number of popular autotunes. But, of course, it did not take long for his past arrests for domestic violence to surface soon after. Though Ramsey did not runaway y from his past, saying that he had no choice but to help the three young ladies:

“There was a woman in distress, why turn your back on that? My father would have whooped the hell out of me if he had found out I would coward out. You tough in these bars, and you beat a woman, but you won’t help one out? … I’m the definition of a man.”

And Cleveland seems to agree. As for the tattoo artist who inked the tattoo, his only concern was whether or not his work would be recognized for what it is: an artistic tribute to a local hero.

“People even around here loved it because everyone knows who this guy is now,” Rose said. “I wasn’t sure if people would think it was Jimi Hendrix or Bob Marley, but everyone knew right away it was Charles Ramsey.”
