Phone companies selling customer information

How do you feel about this one .. I mean we all know there is some monitoring going on but now its BIG business not just location but the habits daily all you do ….

Big phone companies have begun to sell the vast troves of data they gather about their subscribers’ locations, travels and Web-browsing habits.

The information provides a powerful tool for marketers but raises new privacy concerns. Even as Americans browsing the Internet grow more accustomed to having every move tracked, combining that information with a detailed accounting of their movements in the real world has long been considered particularly sensitive.

The new offerings are also evidence of a shift in the relationship between carriers and their subscribers. Instead of merely offering customers a trusted conduit for communication, carriers are coming to see subscribers as sources of data that can be mined for profit, a practice more common among providers of free online services like Google and Facebook.

When a Verizon Wireless customer navigates to a website on her smartphone today, information about that website, her location and her demographic background may end up as a data point in a product called Precision Market Insights. The product, which Verizon launched in October 2012 after trial runs, offers businesses like malls, stadiums and billboard owners statistics about the activities and backgrounds of cellphone users in particular locations.

Several European mobile-network operators have launched similar efforts. This week, German software giant SAP is introducing a service that will gather smartphone-use and location data from wireless carriers and offer it to marketing firms.

Carriers acknowledge the sensitivity of the data. But as advertisers and marketers seek more detailed information about potential customers and the telecom industry seeks new streams of revenue amid a maturing cellphone market, big phone companies have started to tiptoe in.

New Yorkers Diss Rihanna, She Fires Shots At J.R. Smith & New York Knicks

Rihanna says I have had enough after people fans of the Knicks attack her on her social media and fires back . 

So basically since JR Smith and her had a thing a while back , and he was seen at her after party for her club tour New Yorkers fans of the knicks began attacking her as if she is the reason for his bad performance … are you serious ….people JR Smith is a grown ass man …slap your self . 

Since then some of New York’s faithful fans have been attacking her on Instagram for “messing up J.R.’s game,” and recently she had enough and shot back.  According to an Instagram comment she directed at one of the Knicks fans who had been insulting her, Rihanna is most definitely not romantically involved with Smith, but is not a fan of the Knicks:

Cleveland Man Gets Charles Ramsey’s Face Inked On His Leg

“He’s kind of like that public figure in Cleveland right now, kind of the voice and face of it,” Rose said. “He’s such an expressive guy, I figured it’d make a great tattoo.”

“I think Rodney and I were caught up in the ridiculousness of it,” Munhollon said. “You could ask the question, ‘did I want to get Charles Ramsey tattooed on my leg,’ and the obvious answer is no. The real question is, ‘was I willing to get Charles Ramsey tattooed on my leg,’ and the answer was yes.”

When recounting how he realized the girls were in trouble, Ramsey told a reporter “I knew something was wrong when a little, pretty white girl ran into a black man’s arms. Something is wrong here. Dead giveaway.”

His hilarious interview quickly turned into a number of popular autotunes. But, of course, it did not take long for his past arrests for domestic violence to surface soon after. Though Ramsey did not runaway y from his past, saying that he had no choice but to help the three young ladies:

“There was a woman in distress, why turn your back on that? My father would have whooped the hell out of me if he had found out I would coward out. You tough in these bars, and you beat a woman, but you won’t help one out? … I’m the definition of a man.”

And Cleveland seems to agree. As for the tattoo artist who inked the tattoo, his only concern was whether or not his work would be recognized for what it is: an artistic tribute to a local hero.

“People even around here loved it because everyone knows who this guy is now,” Rose said. “I wasn’t sure if people would think it was Jimi Hendrix or Bob Marley, but everyone knew right away it was Charles Ramsey.”

Bound to become the next big thing for artists, if you could manufacture something put your name on it that you created wouldn’t you !?

Taking cross-branding to new highs, Bone Thugs-N-Harmony member Stanley “Flesh-N-Bone” Howse has partnered with a medical marijuana facility in Otisville, Mich., to create a new strain for patients in the area.

“We worked closely together to figure out what we wanted out of the medication,” said Anthony Butler, owner of the Green Oasis dispensary. The partnership will also allow Butler to further cultivate and distribute the strain and its seeds.

“It’s almost unreal,” Butler added. “It’s definitely an honor.”

Dubbing the strain “Phifty Caliber Kush,” Butler said it has a distinct floral taste and works as an effective pain reliever: “It’s the best of the best,” he said.

The budding relationship between Howse and Butler — which may be the first of its kind — came about after the owner of a company that specializes in marijuana-themed clothes (which Butler used to work for) put the two in contact following a discussion about who might like to get involved in the medical marijuana industry.

Michael “Tony B.” Bernardi, executive of business affairs for Flesh-N-Bone Global, said that Howse hopes the new strain can provide relief for qualified patients and he’s proud to be a part of a “paradigm shift in the culture” of medicinal marijuana. The Green Oasis may also start selling merchandise and it’s possible Howse might visit the dispensary in the future.

While medicinal marijuana is legal in Michigan, the state’s Supreme Court recently issued a ruling that allowed the state to shut down a dispensary for violating public health code. Michigan Attonrey General Bill Schuette said that the decision would further let the state close other facilities on the grounds they are a public nuisance.

In response to that interpretation, Butler has started charging only enough to reimburse the cost of growing the plant and sells only to patients he serves as a registered caregiver, leading to calls from bill collectors and keeping him from serving other patients in need. “I’ve seen my medicine help cancer patients, people with asthma,” Butler said.

The Music Industry is a crazy place and this man has been through it all and dealt with some of the top legends , whenever I study the industry he is always a top name brought up in his latest tell all memoir he defeinitley lets you know it all .

Clive Davis’ new memoir, “The Soundtrack of My Life,” is full of inside stories from throughout his famed career. But the biggest revelation is a personal one: For the first time, the 80-year-old record executive discusses his “bisexual life.”

Davis, who has been married and divorced twice, has never before publicly addressed his sexuality. In a candid five-page section toward the end of the book, due in stores today, he writes that he first had a sexual encounter with a man during “the era of Studio 54.” “On this night, after imbibing enough alcohol, I was open to responding to his sexual overtures,” writes Davis. Being with a man, he writes, provided “welcome relief.”

 After a period of “soul searching and self-analysis,” Davis separated from his second wife in 1985, and says that he went on to have simultaneous relationships with two women and a man. In 1990, he entered into a “monogamous relationship” with a male doctor, who is not named in the book. Although that relationship ended in 2004, Davis says he has been in a subsequent relationship with another man ever since. Davis writes that his coming out deeply affected his ties with one of his sons, Mitchell: After what Davis calls “one very trying year,” father and son worked out their differences, Davis says.The bulk of Davis’ book – an overdue sequel to his now out-of-print 1975 memoir “Clive: Inside the Record Business” – is devoted to his interactions with a wide range of artists over nearly five decades. He recounts his early years with Columbia Records, some of which had been detailed in the previous book.

Fat Joe Pleaded Guilty of Tax Evasion

Rap Star “{Fat Joe}” is currently facing two years in prison after pleading guilty due to failure in paying taxes amounting to nearly $3 million over the last two years. The famous rapper, Joseph Cartagena in real life, who filmed one of his music videos in the South of France, submitted his plea to federal court in New Jersey. The 42-year old Miami Beach resident pleaded to two counts covering 2007 and 2008, but the verdict will be further deliberated by the government’s preliminary contention to his unsuccessful duty to pay income taxes in 2007 to 2010. Federal prosecutors said the total tax loss for those four years was $718,038. Joe was known for his collaboration with Ludacris and T-Pain on a remix to DJ Khaled’s song “Welcome to My Hood”. It was integrated as the final track on Khaled’s fifth studio album, “We the Best Forever”. According to an interview with XXL Magazine on September 21, 2011, Fat Joe affirmed his album Darkside Vol. 2 as his first official mixtape which includes the Mark Henry produced songs “Massacre on Madison” and “Drop a Body”. The rapper was seen with Neyo at Cannes in France, and was also seen playing poker with TI at Aladdin Resort and Casino last summer. Although there are no reports of him playing poker recently at any land-based or online casino, the rapper still hopes to pay back the taxes before his trial on April 3, 2013. Online poker websites such as Partypoker.fr offer several poker games including the most eminent poker game, Texas Hold’Em. French poker players normally participate by betting an amount of money, usually in form of chips; it is believed that poker originated from France as well.
{France} has become the poker capital of Europe and is recognized as the new home of the World Series of Poker Europe in 2011. France has produced a great number of prominent poker players over the years and also created 22 poker professionals who have been participating in the WSOP yearly.
On top of the list is French Poker player Bertand “ElkY” Grosspellier, a known Starcraft champion turned poker title holder. He completed the Triple Crown (A win of EPT, WPT, and at the WSOP) and was notably one of the high flying online gamers of all time. Unlike some European countries, online poker is legal in France. Players just need to make sure that the site they are playing on is licensed and regulated by the French gaming authority ARJEL (Autorité de régulation des jeux en ligne).
Meanwhile, Fat Joe’s lawyer Jeffrey Lichtman said his client “had already taken steps to resolve this situation” before he was charged.

Donald Trump’s ‘big’ announcement: $5 million in exchange for Obama’s college records (SMH)

So I remember hearing about this … I was wondering what is was gonna be …umm kinda but after seeing and reading this I gotta say Donald Trump you have lost your hair and your brain and no amount of money can cover it up well enough!

Donald Trump, the impossibly coiffed real estate mogul, reality TV star and de facto leader of the “birther” movement, made his “big announcement” about President Barack Obama on Wednesday, saying he would give $5 million to a charity of Obama’s choice in exchange for the release of the commander in chief’s college records and passport application.

“Barack Obama is the least transparent president in the history of this country,” Trump said in a video shot from his New York office and uploaded to YouTube. “I’m very honored to have gotten him to release his long-form birth certificate or whatever it may be.”

“I have a deal for the president,” Trump continued. “If Barack Obama opens up and gives his college records and applications and if he gives his passport applications and records I will give to a charity of his choice—inner-city children in Chicago, American Cancer Society, AIDS research, anything he wants—a check immediately for $5 million.”

The professional carnival barker also issued an accompanying press release on his Facebook page.

The announcement was immediately mocked on Twitter.

“Our expectations about @realDonaldTrump’s Obama announcement were clearly not low enough,” New York Magazine said on its Twitter feed.

“BREAKING: Donald Trump demands to know what medical school Dr. Dre went to,” Twitter user @BScalabrine24 wrote.

“Trump will give $5 million if Obama releases his college records,” @WatchJ tweeted. “I’ll give a crackhead $3 if Trump releases that squirrel sittin on his head.”

“BREAKING: Donald Trump replaces bed bugs as Americas #1 Pest,” Lizz Winstead wrote on Twitter.

“We’re going to make a very important cat announcement shortly that will change the internet,” BuzzFeed declared.

“Sorry Trump, but in the same way the U.S. doesn’t negotiate with terrorists, presidents shouldn’t negotiate with idiots,” @the_moonface wrote.

“This Donald Trump character is Andy Kaufman’s greatest bit ever,” Aaron Blitzstein tweeted.

“Donald Trump is the Honey Boo Boo of rich people,” @MorgonFreeman said.

“Trump, would you be a dear and offer 5 million dollars if Romney will reveal ANY PART of his economic plan?” Alex Baze wrote.

The Onion tweeted: “‘I’m a sad, pathetic human being and a complete waste of life.’ — Donald Trump.”

In an interview with “Fox & Friends” on Monday, Trump said, “I have something very, very big concerning the president of the United States. I will be announcing it sometime probably Wednesday and it’s going to be very big.”

“Will it change the election?” co-host Gretchen Carlson asked Trump. “Possibly,” Trump replied. “It’s very big—bigger than anybody would know.”

Following Trump’s titillating tease, there was some speculation that he would unveil divorce papers that Michelle Obama had allegedly drawn up more than a decade ago. Others thought the “Celebrity Apprentice” host had proof of the president’s rumored cocaine use during college.

In August, Trump was supposed to deliver a “big surprise” at the Republican National Convention in Tampa, Fla., but Hurricane Isaac forced the GOP to cut his appearance from the truncated schedule. The “big surprise”? A video featuring an Obama impersonator who Trump predictably fired.

Gunplay Officially Turns Himself Over To Authorities

Following rumors that he turned himself in to police, Gunplay is officially behind bars.

Yesterday, rumors swirled that Gunplay had turned himself over for an oustanding warrant on armed robbery and assault.

Earlier today, the Maybach Music Group rapper officially checked in to Miami-Dade Police in connection with armed robbery and not assault, as previously reported.

The robbery occurred several months ago at a tax preparation office in northwest Miami-Dade. A video shows Gunplay holding the firearm. But e do got heart like a true GOON ( see 50 fight and Mike Knox )

It is unclear how long he will remain behind bars, but he is expected to stay in jail as bond is not offered in armed robbery cases.

Artist Like Snoop Dogg Endorses Barack Obama For President

Snoop Dogg gives Barack Obama the thumbs up in the 2012 Presidential Election.

It’s election season, and while many Hip Hop artists have been relatively quiet as to their candidate of choice, a few emcees are finally speaking out. Now, according to XXL via Rolling Stone, rapper Snoop Dogg has thrown his weight behind President Barack Obama in the election.

In a recent press conference for his new documentary Reincarnation, the currently known at Snoop Lion stumped for President Obama in his bid for re-election. Snoop commended Obama’s policies over the past four years, saying that many of them helped undo much of the social and economic turmoil created by former President George W. Bush’s policies.

“Let me begin, Obama for four more years, man,” he said. “Bush fucked up for eight years, so, I mean, you gotta at least give him eight years. He cleaned half the shit up in four years, realistically. It ain’t like y’all gave him a clean house. Y’all gave him a house where the TV didn’t work, the toilet was stuffed up – everything was wrong with the house.

He continued, “He had to come in and get your thing together, then he knocked down our most hated, the most wanted, the one who had our terror on orange or red or whatever color it was on [Osama bin Laden] – he went and found him, the one Bush couldn’t seem to find, the one who seemed to fly away in the dead of night and all that…so give him [another] four years to get his thing together and finish this deal out. You heard what Clinton said. You loved Clinton, didn’t you?
