Supreme Reaction and Staff Predicts Super Bowl Winner…

Supreme Reaction and staff have voted on who they thought was going to win the Super Bowl in Indianapolis. Even though our Colts are not in the Bowl game and they had a difficult season we believe that the New  York Giants will win the Super Bowl. Eli Manning will a have a good game and will lead the Manning Family with the most rings. I am ok with Eli Manning having more rings then Peyton Manning. I know Peyton is a proud older brother who will be rooting for his younger brother. We definitely do not want to see Tom Brady win the Super Bowl. We have seen that enough times plus they like to cheat and steal plays. Well, good luck to the New England Patriots and to the G Men. We hope this will be a great Super Bowl.

Bill Polian Fired From The Indianapolis Colts

Well, told by espn, that Bil Polian has been fired by Colts owner Jim Irsay. There is no rhyme or reason why Bill Polian has been fired. Jim Irsay will hold a press conference at 5p.m. eastern time to explain what is going on. The Indianapolis Colts had a bad year this year with there record being 2-14. Jim Caldwell future is uncertain too. Stay tuned.

Man spent 11 months in jail because of faulty identification

Oops sorry we got the wrong person. How can you be in jail for 11 months then the witnesses say we have the wrong person. Looks like Indiana has a lawsuit coming from Carlos Starks for wasting his time. I just wonder how many innocent people are in jail. I mean not everyone can handle the situation like Nelson Mandela. Check out the story down below.

After 11 months in jail, Carlos Starks finally got his day in court.

Thirty hours later, he was a free man.

One after another, witnesses who had fingered him for the shooting death of Douglas Craft told prosecutors, “That’s not him.”

“I kept looking around the courtroom for the guy who did the shooting,” said witness Patricia Baker. “I said, ‘That can’t be him. That isn’t him.’ He didn’t look anything like the person I identified.”

Marion Superior Court Judge Patricia Gifford dismissed the case with prejudice, which means Starks cannot be tried on the same charge again. Starks, jailed since Oct. 5, 2010, was released Sept. 13.

Starks’ ordeal helps explain why judges, legislatures and researchers across the country are casting an increasingly skeptical eye on the value of eyewitness testimony — especially testimony based on photo lineups.

“This is just an egregious example of how damaging eyewitness accounts can be and the lack of fair play,” said Fran Watson, a professor of law at Indiana University School of Law-Indianapolis and a former chief of the Marion County Public Defender Agency. “People get sentenced to death because of misidentifications like this.”

Some states have ordered police to tighten photo lineup standards, and others are considering it. A recent study found that nearly one in five photo identifications is wrong.

The researchers said police can reduce mistakes with just a few tweaks. But it doesn’t appear Indiana is close to changing its methods, despite the embarrassment, financial liability and discredit a mistaken-identity prosecution can bring.

“I don’t see prosecutors or police departments making that change any time soon,” said David Powell, executive director of the Indiana Prosecuting Attorneys Council. “We tend to follow the lead of the courts. We are reluctant to make wholesale changes based on academic studies.”

NFL :Peyton Manning, Michael Vick among players given franchise tag

Supreme Reaction knows there are fans waiting and praying for these contracts to be signed sealed and delivered so there teams can focus on next years quest for the Super Bowl . There are about to be some crazy long term deals for Vick and Manning though please believe.

PHILADELPHIA – The Philadelphia Eagles have placed the franchise tag on Pro Bowl quarterback Michael Vick.

Vick led the Eagles to a 10-6 record and the NFC East title after replacing an injured Kevin Kolb in Week 1. Despite missing three games with an injury, Vick had his best season. He set career highs in yards passing (3,018), touchdowns passing (21), touchdowns rushing (9), completion percentage (62.6) and passer rating(100.2).

The team’s website reported Tuesday that the Eagles used the exclusive franchise tag on Vick, meaning he can’t negotiate with any other team. By applying the franchise tag, a team must pay a player the average of the top five salaries at his position.

Vick was voted The Associated Press Comeback Player of the Year after missing two seasons while serving a jail sentence and playing sparingly in 2009.

INDIANAPOLIS – The Indianapolis Colts are keeping Peyton Manning — no matter what it costs.

Manning, the only four-time MVP in league history, has been given the exclusive franchise tag, a move that could cost the Colts $23 million next season. Team owner Jim Irsay announced the decision Tuesday night on Twitter.

“We have placed the franchise tag on Peyton while we continue to negotiate a long term deal,” Irsay wrote.

The move is hardly a surprise.

Last year, Irsay promised to make Manning the NFL’s highest-paid player. He has reiterated that position many times since then with one caveat — if the Colts couldn’t reach a new deal with Manning before free agency started they would use the franchise tag.

The Colts did the same thing in 2004 before eventually agreeing to a seven-year, $98 million deal. The Colts then pulled the tag.

Other notables :

Also receiving franchise tags — all believed to be non-exclusive — were: San Diego wide receiver Vincent Jackson, Baltimore defensive tackle Halati Ngota, New York Jets linebacker David Harris and New England offensive lineman Logan Mankins
