Dr. Dre ‘Blown Away’ By David Guetta’s Live Show

This just blows my mind. DJ Dr. Dre might head back to the turntables and put on a show. Dre went to go see David Guetta spin in Spain and was so inspired that he might get on the decks. This is also something I want to see Dr. Dre do. I mean come on Dr. Dre use to spin with three turntables back in the day.

Before he was a platinum rapper or superproducer, Dr.Dre got his start in the 1980s as a DJ for the World Class Wrecking Crew, so when it comes to the wheels of steel, the Good Doctor knows a thing or two.

Maybe that’s why Beats by Dre snagged David Guetta to help develop the company’s new Beats mixr headphones, designed specifically for DJs. In fact, Guetta and the new DJ headphones have inspired Dre so much that the hip-hop luminary is considering returning to the decks.

“He’s passionate about what he’s doing,” Dre said of Guetta. “I flew all the way to Ibiza, Spain, to check him out, and I saw the show that he put together, and I was blown away, so who better to represent our DJ headphone?”

“Who has helped DJs more in the world than David Guetta?” Interscope Chairman Jimmy Iovine chimed in.

Guetta’s Ibiza show clearly left an impression on the Chronic producer and rapper, who saw more than just a DJ, but an artist at work. “From the beginning, just the energy that he brought and all the effects that he had,” Dre recalled. “He wasn’t just DJing and spinning records; he put on a show, and I took that home with me. I fell in love with the show.”

It’s no secret that Dre has been fine-tuning is long-awaited Detox album, but what fans may not know is that the former N.W.A producer has at least thought about returning to the DJ booth. “I’ve actually been talking about it a little bit; dusting my hands off and getting back in the DJ scene,” he said. “We’ll see what’s up with that in the future.”

Rolling Stone Magazine Crowns Eminem The “King Of Hip Hop”

The magazine has released a list quantifying and qualifying the major players in Hip Hop.

Rolling Stone magazine has crown him the “King of Hip Hop,” ranking him above Lil Wayne , Drake , Kanye West,  Jay-Z, Nicki Minaj and more.

The magazine claims that the list doesn’t measure the “all-time greatest,” but rather analyzes data like album sales, YouTube hits and social networking popularity to determine who has the highest index number.

Additional artists to make the final cut include Gucci Mane, Snoop Dogg, Diddy, Big Boi, B.oB. , Pitbull , Kid Cudi , and a handful of others.

Jay-Z Tops Forbes’ Hip Hop Cash Kings, Includes Eminem, Kanye West, Dr. Dre & More

I went in on Jay-Z and Kanye West pretty hard yesterday but I tell you one thing is that Jay-Z is a successful business man period. He gives a lot of inspiration to anyone especially blacks that we can do it. A hip hop artist that has lunch with Obama is just insane. Eminem is on this list too and he has had a great year too with Recovery and the album he just came out w’ith Royce Da 5’9. Dr. Dre well I don’t even have to tell you about him that guy is  just a musical genius. I am glad him and the D.O.C. are working together again. Well check out the article down below. Peace and God Bless.

Forbes has announced its annual Hip Hop Cash Kings list. The leader of the pack is none other than Jay-Z, while additional Hip Hop stars to make the cut include Eminem, Diddy, Dr. Dre, Nicki Minaj, Kanye West and more.

Hov tops the chart with $37 million in income, thanks to “the benefits of a 10-year $150 million Live Nation deal, as well as stakes in the New Jersey Nets, the 40/40 Club” and more.

Sean “Diddy” Combs comes in second with $35 million. Surprisingly, music only accounts for 20 percent of his earnings, while the rest consists of investments in clothing lines like Sean John and Enyce.

Kanye West places third with $16 million. The relentless tourer released his last solo album My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy in November 2010, and most recently dropped his collaboration album with Jigga, Watch the Throne, yesterday.

Others to notch on the list include Lil Wayne at No. 4 ($15 million) in a tie with Birdman, Eminem at No. 6 ($14 million) in a tie with Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg, Ludacris at No. 10 ($12 million), Wiz Khalifa at No. 11 ($11 million) in a tie with Drake, Nicki Minaj at No. 15 ($6.5 million) in a tie with Swizz Beatz, and more.

Yelawolf Reacts Via Twitter To The Leak Of “RadioActive’s” First Single

DJ Doleak feels that Yelawolf should not be mad that your song leaked on the internet. If you that mad at it just make another song that is just as good. No need to go on twitter and tell people what you going to do to the person who leaked your song. This one of the reasons why our generation is not as talented as people before us.  One of the reasons is just our generation have a bad attitude for the most part and not enough confidence. We need to start overcoming adversity and move on with our lives. (Check Out Article Below).

Over the weekend Alabama rapper and DX Next alum Yelawolf  took to his Twitter account to express his frustration over the leak of “Gangster Of Love,” the first single off of his upcoming album RadioActive.

“Hey to who ever leaked Gangster of Love … I BET ON YOURE cock sucking mother You won’t show you’re face round HERE !!! Say somethin? The difference between me and you is that I’ll sit in jail .. Punk bitch Internet goons .. Wait till RadioActive drops .. GameOver,” said the rapper yesterday (July 3) on Twitter.

Just weeks ago Yelawolf revealed in a video with 3LittleDigs.com that the song, which features Atlanta rapper CyHi The Prynce, would be RadioActive’s first single.

The rapper may have even hinted at possibly leaving the social networking site because of the melee surrounding the “Gangster Of Love” leak.

“Good night twitter. Un follow me and tell you’re friends I suck .. I don’t give a fuck anymore .. I’m officially off line .. Love – Michael,” said Yelawolf. “To my fans ..the wolfpack I love you ALL .. And I’ll stay in touch with you on yelawolf.com RadioActive drops September 27th .. Hallerrr.”

Dr. Dre Says “Die Hard” Not Next Single, Preview Leaks

Ok I can take that. It was being reported that “Die Hard” was going to be the next single. I mean the song is cool but I didn’t think it was good enough to be the next single. All I want to do is ask Dr.Dre when the Detox album is coming out. I mean it has been some years and people have just been waiting.

Although Dr. Dre’s song Die Hard featuring Eminem will indeed be a part of Detox, it is not the album’s next single, says Dr. Dre.

Reports surfaced last week that the track, which is at least one of two featuring partner-in-rhyme Slim Shady on the album, would serve as the album’s third official single.

Taking to Twitter, very briefly addressed the issue.

“Die Hard” ft. @eminem is not the next single.

Dr. Dre Wins Lawsuit Against Death Row Records

What up Dr. Dre? Good win in court today my man. I always like to see a person about there business especially a black man after all the years we are cheated out of our money. (Including me). How come Death Row was giving him no money for reissuing his stuff. Makes no sense right. Well congratulation to Dr. Dre. Now the question is. When does Detox come out?

Tuesday, US District Judge Christina Snyder issued a ruling that entitled Dr. Dre to 100% of all digital royalties from The Chronic. In 2010, Dre filed a lawsuit against WideAwake/Death Row Reacords alleging that he had been grossly undercompensated for his critically acclaimed album. The album sold well over 3 million copies, and during the 2010 suit, Dre’s attorneys were seeking upwards of $75,000.

According to reports by the Associated Press, a 1996 exit agreement between Dre and the original Death Row called for Dr. Dre to receive 18% royalties on music he created while at Death Row and gave him extensive authority over how the songs were used. Judge Snyder ruled that when Wideawake purchased Death Row assets in 2009, they were restricted to selling the assets in the original format in which they appeared. Of course, all of the early Death Row albums were created in the early-to-mid nineties prior to the invention of iTunes and other digital licensing services.

“For years, Death Row Records forgot about Dre when they continued to distribute his music digitally and combined his hits with weaker Death Row tracks in an attempt to elevate the stature of their other artists,” Dr. Dre’s attorney Howard King wrote in a prepared statement. “We are gratified that the federal court has unambiguously declared that Death Row has no right to engage in such tactics, and must hold all proceeds from these illicit distributions in trust for our client.”
