News : Mac Dre’s Thizz Ent. Implicated In Nationwide Ecstasy Ring, 25 Arrested

All I can say is you can only do this stuff so long then you have to step away in the words of that man in vietnam who told Frank Lucas ” Quitting while ahead is not the same as quitting”

Police concluded a four-year investigation into Mac Dre’s Thizz Entertainment record label, after 25 people were arrested and accused of being involved in a massive, nationwide ecstasy ring.

A number of rappers associated with Thizz Entertainment were arrested yesterday (April 24) and charged in a conspiracy to distribute ecstasy, cocaine, heroin, marijuana and codeine cough syrup around the country.

According to police, members of Thizz sold drugs to finance the record label.

“We appreciate the efforts of the U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of California in coordinating the investigation and prosecuting the persons involved in such a complex and dangerous criminal enterprise,” Chief Nichelini said.

According to the DEA, over 45,000 ecstasy pills were seized in yesterday’s raid, along with 4 pounds of crack, a half pound of heroin and $200,000 in suspected drug money.

Police said that Thizz also operated two defunct marijuana dispensaries and seized over 230 acres in property valued at $1 million, that was used to cultivate marijuana in Yuba County.

Mac Dre, who started Thizz Entertainment, was shot and killed in 2004, in Kansas City, Missouri, allegedly by a rival rapper named Anthony “Fat Tone” Watkins.

Fat Tone and an associate were later gunned down in a construction lot near The Palms in Las Vegas.

In 2008, Bay Area rapper Mac Minister, born Andre Dow, was convicted and sentenced to life in prison for murdering Fat Tone, his associate and a women who witnessed the killings.

Police hope that the bust is the final chapter in Mac Dre and Thizz Entertainment’s history in Vallejo.

According to police, Mac Dre was a member of the infamous Romper Room gang, that operated in the Bay Area in the late 80s and 1990s.

The gang committed a series of robberies of Pizza Parlors in the area, that were eventually the subject of an episode of BET’s “American Gangster” series.

Police say nine members of Thizz Entertainment are still on the run, while those arrested will make their first court appearances on May 4.

Motivation : ScHoolboy Q Says 50 Cent Saved His Life

there is no denying that summer when 50 Cent hit the streets he changed the game all the singing and soft music was put on the back burner , I almost feel like he killed R&B even they had to get a little gritty and harder or feature on some harder cut then usual. And he did inspire alot of people , I remember his interview when he did say anyone coming out of jail got strikes or a bad record ect should get into this rap game and eat crazy but it lead to alot of cats picking up the mic not only and some even changing there styles . ScHoolboy Q explains that Fiddy probably saved his life by inspiring him to rap.Last month, California foursome Black Hippy announced that the has officially signed with Dr. Dre’s Aftermath imprint and Interscope Records. Now, Black Hippy’s own ScHoolboy Q speaks on Aftermath and Dre’s protege 50 Cent. In a recent interview with Vibe, Q discussed 50 Cent’s influence on his music and career. He explained that he really connected with 50′s bravado, and that the Queens rapper probably saved his life by inspiring him to pursue Hip Hop after he was released from jail.”We got the same shit going on. Everything he talk about is the same shit I did. I relate to Fifty,” he explained. “I can listen to 50 Cent and tell he really mean what he’s saying. He’s one of them niggas that got a way with confidence. Fifty ain’t got the best bars, he ain’t got Jay-Z bars but his confidence on a record…you can’t deny it. I seen where he was doing an interview about Ja Rule during the beef shit, he was saying that any nigga that just getting out of jail that don’t know what to do with himself is getting into the rap game. Recently when I just got out of jail I didn’t know what to do. I wasn’t going to try and finish playing football. That’s when I was fucking around with rapping, I wasn’t really rapping but when I heard that I was like fuck it…I really went hard at it. Fifty probably saved my life on some real shit.”

Schoolboy Q Addresses XXL Freshman Cover Exclusion, Says It Would Be “Corny” To Do It

I really like this group and the energy an presence they have , I remember hearing there names before they were this big from living in Long Beach and Carson and they were def buzzing in the streets . Its gonna be good and they have a point about the shows leaving happy and energy levels and more . Look forward to the album .

ScHoolboy Q bigs up XXL Magazine but says that he’s too advanced to be a freshman.

ScHoolboy Q and the rest of the Black Hippy crew chopped it up with Beats TV about a gang of topics including their shared fan bases and wanting to attain the same level of success as Maybach Music Group and Young Money. But during the conversation, Q turned his attention to his exclusion from this year’s XXL Magazine Freshman cover, which featured Machine Gun Kelly, French Montana, Hopsin, Iggy Azalea and more. Q says that he’s got love for the magazine, but that he is far too advance to even be featured on a Freshman cover.

“Ain’t no shot, but ain’t none of them niggas sold more records than me,” he said. “I don’t feel like I’m a freshman, on some real shit. Jay Rock did it, Kendrick did it and it’s cool. That was good. It’s just kind of corny for me to do it. I love XXL, I look at that shit all the time. But I would love to see a Black Hippy cover.”
