Kelly Rowland’s solo career has never been able to escape that of Beyoncé.

Since her 2002 solo debut, Rowland has stood in the shadow of her Destiny’s Child sister. It’s almost impossible to find an interview with the singer without a mention of her more successful pal.

For her part, Rowland has always taken the constant comparisons and never-ending questions about a Destiny Child’s reunion or Bey’s success like any best friend would — with a smile and a soundbite. Now, she’s finally opening up about how it’s affected her in a stunningly candid new single, “Dirty Laundry,” taken from her upcoming fourth album, “Talk a Good Game.

When my sister was onstage / killing it like a … / I was enraged / feeling it like a ….,” she sings. “Went our separate ways but I was happy that she was killing it / Bittersweet, she was up and I was down / No lie, I feel good for her but what do I do now?”

Led by piano, the R&B jam spools into a dark confessional with Rowland singing about an ex who was “putting his hands on me” and cautioning to listeners that “y’all don’t know the half of this industry.

“Hitting the window like it was me / And still it shattered / He pulled me out and said, ‘Don’t nobody love you but me / Not your mama / Not your daddy / and especially not Bey.’ “

I like it what do you think leave a comment .

Cleveland Man Gets Charles Ramsey’s Face Inked On His Leg

“He’s kind of like that public figure in Cleveland right now, kind of the voice and face of it,” Rose said. “He’s such an expressive guy, I figured it’d make a great tattoo.”

“I think Rodney and I were caught up in the ridiculousness of it,” Munhollon said. “You could ask the question, ‘did I want to get Charles Ramsey tattooed on my leg,’ and the obvious answer is no. The real question is, ‘was I willing to get Charles Ramsey tattooed on my leg,’ and the answer was yes.”

When recounting how he realized the girls were in trouble, Ramsey told a reporter “I knew something was wrong when a little, pretty white girl ran into a black man’s arms. Something is wrong here. Dead giveaway.”

His hilarious interview quickly turned into a number of popular autotunes. But, of course, it did not take long for his past arrests for domestic violence to surface soon after. Though Ramsey did not runaway y from his past, saying that he had no choice but to help the three young ladies:

“There was a woman in distress, why turn your back on that? My father would have whooped the hell out of me if he had found out I would coward out. You tough in these bars, and you beat a woman, but you won’t help one out? … I’m the definition of a man.”

And Cleveland seems to agree. As for the tattoo artist who inked the tattoo, his only concern was whether or not his work would be recognized for what it is: an artistic tribute to a local hero.

“People even around here loved it because everyone knows who this guy is now,” Rose said. “I wasn’t sure if people would think it was Jimi Hendrix or Bob Marley, but everyone knew right away it was Charles Ramsey.”

Kat Dahlia “Gangsta” Acoustic Performance

Not gonna lie I like what this girl is doing on the beat , the flow her voice and the lyrics straight raw from the gut when she gets on the mic . I like her track ” Mirror” also

Dahlia was raised by Cuban-born parents in Miami Beach , Florida, and began rapping at the age of eight and writing songs at fifteen, ripping instrumentals from YouTube in lieu of a band.  At eighteen, after saving money from waitressing jobs, Dahlia decided to leave Miami, and moved to New York City a month later “on a whim”.  Shortly thereafter, Dahlia became involved in what she describes as a “toxic relationship”, which she would later come to regard as a source of inspiration and “writer’s gold”.

When and Why Can’t We All Just Get Along (At Hip Hop Award Shows?)

I dont know is it entertaining YES is it STUPID absolutely , no other award show , Country , Grammys , ect has so much drama has the hip hop awards , seems like people are really trying to take it back to the 90′s when we lost two of the greatest . Plain ignorance , now here is the thing if these guys had true beef with each other , there has to be a better way to handle it , YES I know some people get out of line and need to be slapped. but when guns come in and whole crews jumping a person ect at award shows thats when its going to far and BET you should no better keep crews seperated they should not interact in anyway that’s dumb on your part , and how the hell do these guys HAVE WEAPON IN THERE , you better start searching these so called stars I don’t care if they like it or not bc right now this award show is a bunch of clowns . Sad part is this was people like 2 Chainz time to shine Kendrick Lamar who are overshadowed by the ignorance . Get it together because your not doing enough hip hop award shows which means you might as well condone it for your ratings money in pockets or whatever reason.

These past two weeks have raised the question if fights at award shows are promotional vehicles or if it’s controversy’s biggest stage.

The 2012 BET Hip-Hop Awards were held Saturday September 29 at the The Boisfeuillet Jones Atlanta Civic Center, and televised this week on the BET network. The awards show continued the highlighting Cyphers, with groupings of artists displaying their craft at its purist level. The event had performances from Rap superstars, on-stage truces, and even a few websites nominated for an award. However, most of what made headlines happened backstage and had very little do with the music itself.

The Role Of Fights In The 2012 BET Hip Hop Awards

This event in particular had so many different incidents of conflict, one might find it hard to keep up with what truly happened. The first news emerged of a crew-collission between Rick Ross and Young Jeezy. These two Def Jam Records label-mates and onetime collaborators have had a speculated beef for years over lyrics (Ross seemingly hitting below the belt on “Blowin’ Money Fast (B.M.F.),” Jeezyreciprocating with “Death B4 Dishonor”). At the award show itself they ran into each other backstage where the reports of pushing and shoving began. A team of guards intensely stepped in and stopped the altercation. The tussle moved to the parking lot, where gunshots were later heard and arrests were made. BET’s President of Music Programming Stephen Hill stated he acknowledged the fight between the two yet denies the gunshots that happened. Whether or true or not, attention was placed everywhere but the stage during the early live-tweeted reports from the show.

As if the fight with between two of the biggest stars in Rap wasn’t enough, the one that followed is when fights escalated and accusations flew off the freaking roof. Triple C’s member Gunplay was on the receiving end of a brutal attack by 50 Cent including getting his head bashed into a metal barricade.  Several different sources from G-Unit affiliate Mike Knox to Gunplay himself have spoken out about this altercation. Knox, who is also a longtime Beanie Sigel affiliate, stated in a radio interview, “The only thing I can tell you is [Gunplay] was in the wrong place at the wrong time and he was acting a certain kinda way that he shouldn’t have been actin’ … So, he got dealt with … He got his ass kicked.” Gunplay has had quite a response to all of this since it occurring on Saturday, threatening to “gun down” his attackers. After turning himself into authorities this week for an unrelated incident, time will tell how this issue plays forward.

Artist Like Snoop Dogg Endorses Barack Obama For President

Snoop Dogg gives Barack Obama the thumbs up in the 2012 Presidential Election.

It’s election season, and while many Hip Hop artists have been relatively quiet as to their candidate of choice, a few emcees are finally speaking out. Now, according to XXL via Rolling Stone, rapper Snoop Dogg has thrown his weight behind President Barack Obama in the election.

In a recent press conference for his new documentary Reincarnation, the currently known at Snoop Lion stumped for President Obama in his bid for re-election. Snoop commended Obama’s policies over the past four years, saying that many of them helped undo much of the social and economic turmoil created by former President George W. Bush’s policies.

“Let me begin, Obama for four more years, man,” he said. “Bush fucked up for eight years, so, I mean, you gotta at least give him eight years. He cleaned half the shit up in four years, realistically. It ain’t like y’all gave him a clean house. Y’all gave him a house where the TV didn’t work, the toilet was stuffed up – everything was wrong with the house.

He continued, “He had to come in and get your thing together, then he knocked down our most hated, the most wanted, the one who had our terror on orange or red or whatever color it was on [Osama bin Laden] – he went and found him, the one Bush couldn’t seem to find, the one who seemed to fly away in the dead of night and all that…so give him [another] four years to get his thing together and finish this deal out. You heard what Clinton said. You loved Clinton, didn’t you?
